Laax, created around a small farming hamlet, has evolved gradually until now it is able to offer the type of tourist infrastructure that one would expect from a top-class ski resort. Recently efforts have been particularly concentrated on renovating the ski lift equipment which will enable skiers to take advantage of the quick connection with Flims, thus putting it within ski boot distance of two hundred kilometres of ski slopes. However it is regrettable that the lodgings in this German-speaking resort (although French is also spoken by the majority of people in this resort) are not situated at the foot of the slopes.

- Modern ski lifts.
- Top quality improvements for freestylers.
- Snow cover not always reliable due to the low altitude of the resort.
- Considerable distance between the start of the slopes and the lodgings.
