Garmisch-Partenkirchen | 720 - 2830 m

© Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Garmisch is an absolute paradise for ski fanatics. A large ski area with plenty of off-piste runs, great snow cover and, above all, a totally unique atmosphere are just a few of the qualities that have given Germany's main resort such an excellent reputation world-wide. By the time you have experienced the incredible atmosphere, been to the top of the Zugspitze mountain (the highest summit in Germany) and tried out the five skating rinks or the wave pool, you will be under the spell of the Grande Dame. The only drawback is that Garmisch's reputation and proximity to Munich make it a very busy weekend destination.
