Rumors have been buzzing since weeks, but after the initial confirmation that the Winter X Games are coming to Europe next year, we now have the dates. The show is on for March 8-12, 2010 in Tignes, the resort that shares the Espace Killy ski area with neighbor Val d'Isère. It's the first time that the Winter X Games will be held outside the US. During three days the resort will be the backdrop to eight different skiing and snowboarding competitions: superpipe and slopeestyle for both men and women.
So far no information has been released on the athletes to be invited, but we'll keep you posted as more news becomes available. And of course: count on skipass to be reporting live on the Winter X Games, both in the US and in our backyard.
The event will be aired by CANAL + Networks in France and the French-speaking territories.
