after years of running skipass.com in french only, we decided it was about time to go GLOBAL (hence the name, we are so smart).
Movie trailers, season edits, live event coverage, the latest
freeski news from Europe and the world, the latest gear, our world famous
Gear Guide (920 skis pair from 50 brands for the 2010 issue) + stuff of all kind ...
you name it, we've got it! And if we don't, well, we will just point to where it can be found on the interweb.
Freeskiing has a new voice. With a funny accent. Enjoy!

The Winter X Games once again provided the backdrop the nice annual get-together called Powder Awards at the historic Hotel Jerome in Aspen. When Powder gives out the awards, it's always a good reason for a party, so admittedly on Sunday morning, not everybody was feeling as fresh as the day before...
But let's stick to the important facts: the winners!
The Canadian photographer Eric Berger wins the award for the best photo with his cover for Powder Magazine with Dan Treadway (click on the photo on the left for a bigger one). While Sean Pettit takes home the award for Best Male Performance in In Deep (MSP), the movie itself is chosen Movie of the Year.
On a European note: Antoine Montant (in the movie Can't Stop by Ride the Planets) winst the best P.O.V. (point of view). Check out his beautiful sequence right below:

We're heading home after a good night celebrating the French double podium at the Winter X Games superpipe. The wait at Denver International allowed us to export the video, the layover at London Heathrow to upload it and at a photo portfolio. Enjoy!

Sometimes life's hard when you're no native English speaker. Today's
one of those days, as I'm out of superlatives to describe
tonight's superpipe competition. The pressure was up, the skiers were throwing down sicker tricks than ever. Competition was fierce and the tricks were huge!
Kevin Rolland stomped the biggest run ever seen on the Winter X Games
with no less than three double flips, scoring him 95 points. He was followed by Jossi Wells. Xavier
Bertoni, last year's winner was longtime on the outside looking in. But he threw down a very solid third run, bumping Simon Dumont of
the third spot and taking home the bronze medal. Much to the disappointment of the crowd, local boy Peter Olenick did not manage to put his tricks to his feet.
We'll post a complete report, photos and video later on, but right now our french crew has a party to celebrate...

Bobby Brown continues his golden X Games with a brilliant victory on the slopestyle course !
